OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Medical Missions For Christ Community Health Center is established to provide primary health care to the community in a manner which demonstrates the love of Christ regardless of the patient’s ability to pay

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

1. We know that we are supposed to be Jesus’ hands and feet, that we are to show the love of Christ to those in need all over the world, but we have a need right here at home that needs to be met as well.

2. We desire to provide quality healthcare independent of the patient's ability to pay.

3. We promise privacy, respect, charity, truth and kindness to all.

4. We believe in maintaining high standards of operation for the clinic, and professionalism for our staff and volunteers.

5. We believe in good stewardship of all resources and services.

Background

Medical Missions for Christ Community Health Center emerged from Medical Missions for Christ Mission Trips. Having traveled internationally to nations of poverty, we came to the realization that much care was needed at home. Our purpose is to provide free medical, dental, mental health and educational services to uninsured, low income individuals and families within our Tri-county areas of Miller, Morgan and Camden counties.

Patient EligibilityAn average of 18% of residents in Camden, Miller and Morgan Counties have no health insurance (12.3% of all Missourians) and these individuals and families have income below the officially designated poverty level. To be eligible for MM4Christ health services, these three criteria must be met:

· Without employer or private health insurance, VA benefits, Medicaid, Medicare or other known health benefits.

A limited total family income requirement.
Proof of income: Tax return

Current StatusThe clinic is incorporated and has tax exempt 501(c)3 status. It has a functioning Board of Directors, a volunteer Medical Director, and Executive Director.

VolunteersMedical Missions for Christ free health clinic can not exist without volunteers, from clerical to custodial, from doctors to interpreters, from nurses to fund raisers.

Community InvolvementPlease spread the word to employees, church members, neighbors, friends.

We have a speaker's bureau and will come to speak to your employees, church or organization. Call or e-mail to schedule a speaker for your event.

Funding Support

Tax Deductible Donations: individual, church, corporate, foundations, civic.
Pro-bono medical services by medical practitioners, nurses, clerical staff.
Discounted and free pharmacy support.
Discounted diagnostic support.

CoordinationMMFCHC establishes and maintains coordination with the governmental, private and charitable agencies and organizations, that have missions compatible with Medical Missions For Christ Community Health Center and may be a source of patient referral, support services, and adjunct resources, i.e., Health Department, Lake Regional Hospital, Department of Social Services, etc.

Medical Missions for Christ Health Center is not in competition for patient care but seeks identification of those needing but not getting care.

It also seeks partners in mission who can provide networking, services, resources, funding and volunteers. 573-346-7777
